HOEK / ROEL MEELKOP & MARCO DOUMA
HOEK is an audiovisual project by sound artist Roel Meelkop and video artist Marco Douma that dates back to 2012, when they created their first audiovisuals with Hoek van Holland as the source of inspiration. The town boasts vast World War II underground bunker compounds as well as contemporary beach clubs and sand dunes. This scenery was translated into an hour long sound track and film. The booklet is a collaboration with visual artist Jeroen Diepenmaat and contains the sound track on CD and a code for watching the film on Vimeo. It was released in 2020 by Esc.Rec from Deventer, NL.
