FOURTEEN TREES OF ROTTERDAM / ALICE LADENBURG
SOLD OUT, BUT NEW COPIES COMING SOON!
Rotterdam is known for its innovative and futuristic architecture. But it is also a city of trees - living things that can be interpreted as architectural monuments central to urban life. Focusing on fourteen trees in central Rotterdam, this guide gives a unique and fascinating insight to the city.
Each tree is presented through geographical, botanical and historical information, archival photographs, observational writing, ink drawings, scientific data and images created using laser scans. Through these multiple representations, the user is encouraged to consider the role that trees have within our cityscape, and how their own perspective can change the way they can experience and understand their environment.
